The 2021 Conference will be an important milestone for NAE4-HA as we will celebrate our 75th Anniversary. Both the NAE4-HA Board of Trustees and the Annual Conference Host Committee have a role in creating an outstanding event and we are looking for states interested in hosting.
Some exciting changes have taken place in conference management.
One change is that NAE4-HA renewed its process of having our association management firm serve as our Conference Manager. This means from day one, a state interested in hosting can have a chance to work with an experienced meeting planner.
Another exciting change relates to the format of the Conference. The Board of Trustees recommended reducing the required time for business meetings and task forces and explore the possibility of rebranding the Conference to be more inclusive of all youth development professionals. The Board voted to change the length of the Conference from 5 consecutive dates to 4 beginning with 2021.
Additionally, the Board put the responsibility of the Conference proposals on a committee within Professional Development, thereby removing that burden from the State.
If your state is interested in submitting an intent to bid, the deadline is February 23, 2018 and should be submitted to VP of Professional Development, Abby Smith (firstname.lastname@example.org). The bid intent will be presented at the NAE4-HA Spring Board Meeting which will be held March 6-7, 2018 in Atlanta. For more information on the bid intent and bid process, please refer to the NAE4-HA Conference Handbook.
Thank you for your support of NAE4-HA!
